Pasadena, Texas (KTRK) – A 17-year-old is charged with two counts of premeditated murder for his role in a fatal shooting during an illegal drug deal.

Pasadena police responded to a shooting call at an apartment block at the 2700 block of Pasadena Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

At the scene, officers found two victims, two men with multiple gunshot wounds.

One was taken to hospital via Life Flight, while the other was taken by ambulance. Police said the two victims died of their injuries.

An investigation revealed that the two victims and suspect, 17-year-old Joseph Quinones, were involved in a dispute over an illegal drug deal.

Officials said Quinones turned himself in to police later on Thursday. He is accused of two counts of premeditated murder.

The police did not identify the two victims. It was not clear if they were teenagers or adults.
